
Colson Baker, born April 22nd 1990, is an American rapper, singer-songwriter actor, songwriter, and actor. His fusion of genres of alternative rock and hip-hop is what earned him fame. The mixtapes he released were four from 2007 until 2010 before signing with Bad Boy Records. The album he released was his debut studio album entitled Lace Up in 2012, which reached number four on the US Billboard 200 and contained his breakthrough single "Wild Boy" (featuring Waka Flocka Flame). General Admission (2015) and Bloom 2017 were his second and third albums. The latter was the one that featured the smash hit single "Bad Things" that was performed by Camila Cabello. The song peaked at number 4 in the Billboard Hot 100. The album he released in his fourth, Hotel Diablo, was the first album of rap rock. In the year 2020 Machine Gun Kelly's fifth album entitled Tickets to My Downfall (2020) was released. It marked a break from hip-hop as well as a transition to pop punk. The album debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200, the only rock album to do so during the same year. It also featured the hit single "My Ex's Best Friend", which reached the 20th spot on the Hot 100. He achieved similar commercial success with its follow up Mainstream Sellout (2022).Machine Gun Kelly played his first starring role in the romantic drama Beyond the Lights (2014) which he has since starred in the thriller based on a techno concept Nerve (2016) and the horror Bird Box (2018), the comedy Big Time Adolescence as well as portrayed Tommy Lee in the biopic The Dirt (both 2019)
