Formerly a top fashion model, almost 5'10'' tall, Carey was a favorite with high-end American designers, including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father was an outstanding geologist who was awarded the title of Scientist of the year in 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey was brought up all over the planet as a consequence of her father's work. While she attended the University of Colorado, Carey began to model on the side. An agent from Ford model agency located in New York noticed her and offered to help. Following her move to France in the summer of 1999, where she was a resident in Paris, Bordeaux and New York She decided to return home to New York and continue her studies. In the next few months, Vogue, Glamour and others included her on the covers. Between modeling gigs, she was a full time student who was pursuing a degree in literary studies at New York University. Then she became interested in acting and began training with the Neighborhood Playhouse of New York. She began her acting career through a tiny role in 'Club Paradise" in 1986, starring Robin Williams. When she is not working she likes to ski and windsurfing, climbing up rocks as well as whitewater kayaking.
