Despacito is a hit song from Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi along with Daddy Yankee was released in the year 2017. It became the number streaming music of that period within the space of six months. The song was a mix of pop and reggaeton which not only brought attention to Latin Music but as well reggaeton. Billboard's Top 100 included four mostly Spanish songs from 2016 as opposed to two in 2015. In the height of Despacito's success in 2017, 19 tracks primarily in Spanish were in the top 100. It climbed to 41 in 2020. Justin Bieber remixed Despacito 2017 in a bilingual version. Soon, other artistes collaborated with Reggaeton's biggest stars including Drake as well as Bad Bunny with MIA (2018), Madonna and Maluma together with Medellin 2019.
